周末票房基本情況與周四相距不遠,整體票房收入較周四上升九成三至接近四百萬水平,不過電影爬升情況,則視乎各片的狀態而有所不同,而奧斯卡得獎電影持續有理想入座。
奧斯卡得獎當中,洲立發行以被香港市場看為家庭客源的《雨果的巴黎奇幻歷險》升幅最為顯著,周日獲增場三成六至21院映76場,結果票房較周四上升三倍,每場人次更達75的水平,而平均入座也上升兩倍,為電影累積11天達371萬。同日開畫安樂發行的黑白默片《星光夢裡人》在周四出現倒升後,周日增場一成四於16院映65場保持約八成的爬升,累積票房亦達236萬,每場人次則在62左右。兩片在開畫首個周末表現平平,明顯地在奧斯卡得獎帶來不少票房。
獲最佳外語片後開畫由高先發行的《伊朗式分居》在首天入場觀眾較後外,周日雖然於五院映26場,但在開畫基數較高下只有四成七的爬升,但每場人次亦接近70。觀乎四天能累積36萬,也算是表現理想。
四部荷里活電影在票房十大之列,不過整體入座均在40或以下。當中新開畫由得利發行的《幽靈車神3D之死神復仇》在成低得票房冠軍後獲增場近一成至32院映180場,結果仍保持票房冠軍位置,不過觀乎爬升只有五成三及每場人次只在38左右,看來票房也只是「以量取勝」,為電影累積231萬。而次周開畫的3D片《妖夜尋狼:血姬覺醒》周日約於34院映145場,結果票房爬升接近六成,不過每場人次則只在25左右,看來電影吸引力已減退,但慶幸上周對手較弱下累積11天達609萬,而同日開畫的《滅口佈局》上映81場於入座上與《妖》片相若,票房爬升也接近大勢,不過在基數較低下,累積只達233萬。
相比之下,第三周上映由霍士發行的《爭女特務王》在周四表現不俗下,昨天被大幅增場近四成至30院映78場,每場人次仍在40左右,票房爬升比率接近兩倍,而累積票房更達至717萬,絕對令發行商喜出望外。
愛情類型方面,次周上畫由洲立發行的台灣愛情片《愛Love》走勢不弱,周日獲增場近四分之一後於28院映129場,結果每場人次也達44水平,看來電影算是吸引了年輕觀眾入場,為電影累積達至493萬,今天必衝破五百萬大關。安樂發行的內地愛情片《失戀33天》在維持28院映137場下,周末票房爬升約六成左右,每場人次亦在34左右,觀乎近年香港觀眾對內地電影仍有抗拒,票房也算有所交代,累積四天也達114萬。反觀黃真真執導以內地為的愛情片《傾城之淚》雖然在維持17院映70場下票房爬升與《失》片相若,不過若細看情況的話,新寶旗下戲院雖然只映三分之一的場次,但卻佔了近六成的票房,也為電影累積達34萬,不過看來要達百萬恐怕十分辛苦。
其餘畫電影方面,洲立發行於廿院上映的《意大利驅魔實錄》周日仍94場,結果票房只爬升三成半,不過入場人次仍與《幽》片相若,反映電影仍能吸引目標客源,為電影於今天衝破百萬大關。至於驕陽發行題材較冷門的《我兒子是惡魔》在開畫較佳下,周日於三院映15場,結果每場維持約45人次,累積可望於今天衝破廿萬。UA院線Cine Hub品牌發行的印度片《巴打旅痕團》周日於六院映廿場下,周日票房爬升約一倍四,入座情況不下於票房冠軍,累積四天也達18萬,且看能否在院線幫助下細水長流。
值得留意的是,晶藝製作由杜汶澤與薛凱琪主演的《爛賭夫與爛賭妻》於上映18天後,票房達542萬,而昨天映57場仍獲近二千人次,可見賭片也許仍有市場,楊紫瓊主演由高先發行的《昂山素姬》上映25天累積則440萬,昨天映29場下每場人次仍在50上下,可見具一定的耐力。
Ken Resurrected
As expected, 《愛Love》continues to lead Chinese language movies. Its strength is impressive given the arrival of 《失戀33天》and 《傾城之淚》. 《失戀33天》did alight given its mainland setting, and I’ve so far read enough positive reviews of the movie and is quite excited to see whether this movie can pull out a surprise momentum in the upcoming weeks. I still think that Edko makes the wrong decision to open the movie far too wide in its first week. I am not sure if this is a tactic to counter 《愛Love》, but obviously it is not working too well at this point.
It is very nice to see 《爛賭夫與爛賭妻》doing well. I am going to say it again, if people think 《爭女特務王》is good, then this HK gambling movie wasn’t that bad. Both movies are harmless popcorn entertainment for its fanbase, but Fox HK certainly has something to cheer about this after the disappointing returns from CHRONICLE as well as seeing 《爭女特務王》seeing a big 2nd Thursday dropoff.
I am not sure if there is something wrong with 洲立’s bargaining power, but how come《雨果的巴黎奇幻歷險》only got 76 screenings during crucial 2nd weekend period when Fox HK can get 78 shows for 《爭女特務王》’s third weekend? It is insane. Exhibitors should know better. I don’t think Ryan should conclude that THIS MEANS WAR 令發行商喜出望外. They obviously must have fight for screen expansions, but I think 洲立 should have done more for 《雨果的巴黎奇幻歷險》. There are a lot of passionate people thinking 《雨果的巴黎奇幻歷險》is the movie deserving of more Oscars, so there should be more passion at 洲立 to promote and lobby for more screens. Perhaps the opening of 《意大利驅魔實錄》hurt HUGO’s chances of expansion?
One must wonder if 「以量取勝」is always the forumla to get huge box office for Hollywood movies, then how come 《雨果的巴黎奇幻歷險》did not receive such treatment even when all factors are pointing the movie to have strong 2nd week momentum? Is 「以量取勝」formula only put to use on any movie’s first weekend?
《伊朗式分居》have a below average weekend surge, but like Ryan said, its Thursday opening was quite strong, so next Thursday’s hold will be crucial.
