本周開畫共有六部電影,在其中兩部電影為票價較高的3D電影下,整體票房較上周四上升一成半至219萬,不過若以入場人次計算,其升幅則不足百分之五。在天氣不佳,加上近日社會氣氛低迷之下,觀眾也許入場偏向娛樂片或喜劇類型,而票房五強均屬該等電影。
六部開畫電影當中,以新力發行的3D電影《妖夜尋狼:血姬覺醒》表現較佳,首天安排於35院映206場獲得64萬的開畫成績,每場人次在撇除票價因素後亦達33。《妖》片屬續集系列電影,故此在市場上主要以該系列觀眾為主,在近期缺乏同類款式之下能吸納目標觀眾。
同理表現理想的,還有洲立發行,鈕承澤執導的愛情片《愛Love》,電影首天於28院映134場下也獲33萬,每場人次更以37成為本周開畫電影之首,連同優先場累積已達94萬。《愛》片在類型上其實並不鮮新鮮,不過勝在有一眾台灣演員傾巢而出,加上類型相對近日同類作品輕鬆得多,獲得年青觀眾的支持。
動作電影方面,環球發行的《滅口佈局》首天於27院映138場,結果只以每場26人次全日錄得24萬。《滅》片在宣傳與賣點上一般,加上近期動作電影供應不少,故此對其票房難存存望。而鐳射發行的《活埋》雖然已經在外地出碟多時,不過選擇於兩院映九場作小型發行下,首天仍獲票房萬二,連同優先場累積達三萬三千。
相比之下,兩部奧斯卡大熱的電影,卻於昨天被票房淋下一大盆冷水。安樂發行的黑白默片《星光夢裡人》雖然於情人節優先場表現不差,可是曾天於17院作中型發行下,只能錄得十萬七千的成績,當中除了AMC Pacific Place及Palace IFC分別錄得萬九及二萬五的收入外,其餘各院收入在一萬以下,當中11家戲院收入更在五千以下,每場平均人次也只有18。《星》片雖然在美國獲得不少獎項,而在宣傳品及優先場方面也算足夠,不過卻未能讓觀眾對於黑白默片及其電影的默片轉至有聲電影進程吸引,故此觀眾對電影採取十分觀望的態度,令票房不及預期。
然而,本周的「砲灰」,卻是落在洲立發行,馬田史高西斯執導的3D電影《雨果的巴黎奇幻歷險》,電影首天於21院映102場,可是最終只獲票房14萬,若計算每場人次更只有14的低水平。當中只有AMC Pacific Place、JP銅鑼灣及Palace IFC分別錄得萬二至萬四的票房,而馬鞍山戲院上映六萬則錄得不足二千收入。《雨》片雖然其3D視覺出色,可是其香港片名對觀眾吸引力低,而電影於宣傳期亦十分不足,觀眾觀看其類型,既難以分類亦難找出入場重點,而3D票價較高更帶來趕客的反效果。觀乎兩部奧斯卡電影開畫票房均不理想,也許只能期盼香港時間周一公佈的奧斯卡頒獎禮有好成績,令票房帶來後勁。
在一眾新片開畫之下,大部份已開畫電影的票房回落約一半左右。上周開畫表現不俗的荷里活片《爭女特務王》與港片《爛賭夫鬥爛賭妻》本周分別以每場約27上下的人次,分別佔據票房的第四、五位置。前者於36院映128場獲23萬,累積達463萬,衝破五百萬大關絕無問題,後者於30院映109場亦獲廿萬,累積達358萬,周末可衝破四百萬大關。高先發行的《昂山素姬》於14院雖然只映29場,但昨天也錄得票房七萬一千,每場人次更跟《愛》片相若,累積則達341萬,若能細水長流仍可望達四百萬。相比之下,杜琪峰執導的《高海拔之戀II》於本周縮場明顯,縮場七成於29院映54場進賬四萬八千,累積達846萬,也許只能以九百萬作為目標。
Ken Resurrected
That’s quite a terrific hold for 《爛賭夫鬥爛賭妻》. This movie is hardly the best low brow entertainment HK cinema can offer, but it is still great to see these actors on the screen.
《雨果的巴黎奇幻歷險》has a very bad opening. I don’t think there are much Oscar chances for this one in the big categories, but it remains to be seen if this one surprises by posting a big weekend surge. Perhaps some view it more as a family movie more than an Oscar movie?
《星光夢裡人》doesn’t have much of a shot appealing to even among the most open-minded arthouse audiences. Even if it win many Oscars, its box office isn’t going to each THE HURT LOCKER’s level. I see a final gross no higher than HK$2.75 million, but of course I like to be proven wrong.
《昂山素姬》definitely have the strength to reach HK$4 million or further, if exhibitors throw their support during weekends, mostly because all other Oscar movies flopped badly this year, and this one is carrying the torch as being the only serious ‘drama’ worth patronizing despite no Oscar nominations. It also does not hurt that current political tensions in HK make this a rallying movie for the pro-democracy supporters.
The second weekend hold for 《爭女特務王》wasn’t all that impressive, but compare to CHRONICLE, I guess it did ok. My forecast of HK$7 million is within reach.
Among mainstream Hollywood movies,《妖夜尋狼:血姬覺醒》’s opening wasn’t particularly good in general, but it did open much higher than the series last movie in 2009. And finally, 《滅口佈局》’s disappointing opening continues to show that Denzel Washington isn’t a box office draw in HK.
