上月的《蘋果日報》其中一篇文章,談及UA時代廣場營業至月底後便需要停業,不過文章更值得注的地方,則是戲院的拆賬方式。
在《蘋果日報》報導中,找來了從事戲院業三十七年的崔顯威講述情況。當中戲院的租金已不像當年日是一個固定金額,而是會有一個最低租金,更看看其營業額的四分之一,哪個數較高便需要交其租金。
今時今日絕大部分戲院都在商場之內,戲院的經營其實並不是想像中討業主歡心,即使戲院有千個座位也好,每票七十元、一天六場計算,理論上最高每月票房約千二萬,但以五成拆賬給發行與片商後,就只有六百萬,即使加上非戲票收入,也不足七百萬。即使是UA時代廣場,每年營業額也只有四千萬,月租百多萬對部分旺角來說,看來不太化算。
在業主只追求租金收入的情況下,戲院「更上一層樓」已不是新鮮,最擔心的還是會否長此下去極化至迫走戲院,若是這樣便令人十分無奈了。
