飛行日記:一公斤的酌情權

無論是公幹與旅遊,其中一個最為人擔心的地方,莫過於是行李過了規定的重量。不過,不同的航空公司,其實對於有關情況也有不同的處理。

當然,行李超了規定可攜帶的重量,也會看超重多少。以一般經濟客位為例,其寄艙行李的量限制為二十公斤。筆者有幾個朋友,曾幾何時在櫃位寄艙時,發現行李重量是廿一公斤,但有著不同的待遇。

其中一家聲稱本地的航空公司,看到重量,便即時要求繳付超過限額後的費用。據了解曾有乘客乘搭該航空公司時,因為超重零點一公斤也要繳付附加費。雖然是依法辦事,但難免予人無情之感。

另一些航空公司,則會先問為何超重,然後解釋是次暫時容許,日後敬請留意重量。這類情況每每佔的比數較多。乘客對於有關的做法,不至於甚麼也不知情,但心裡也算好受一點。也有極少數的航空公司,超重多少也不理會,這點看來有點危險。

不知大家有沒有試過行李超重的情況呢?

    我乘搭國X航空有多次超重情況出現,試過超出0.1kg即被要求繳費,也試過超重2kg亦無需繳費,只是勸告我下次不要再超重,否則則需繳費。所以其實很看該個地勤人員個人情況吧。

    Although I am not sure if the mentioned ‘local’ airline is CX, but if so, there is a reason why this ‘local’ airline has been one of the most profitable airlines in the world.

    Of course, if your luggage is only overload by 0.1 kg, the easiest thing to do is to open your luggage and reorganize some stuff and if possible, make it hand carry on board.

    I am sure some airlines maybe a little bit staunch in its extra baggage policy, but it is afterall the passengers’ responsibility to ensure their luggage not being overloaded. Some airline may allow their frequent customers more excess baggage, so it is only fair that they charge non-complying travellers the surcharge. Some airline even allow travellers to use their own frequent flyer points to redeem for excess baggage.

    I think this is all fair play.

    飛機乘載重量係有 quota, 要睇乘客量及載貨重量. 如果乘客少或者多小朋友, 又冇咩貨, 重少少都可以; 另一個情況, 如果撘客係學生, 工作人員都可以運用酎情權, 但當然要睇返客機實際情況.

    聽聞有一類人超重一定冇酎情權, 就係大包細包帶返自己國家既水貨客.

    i’ve been flying with cx about 10times a year and i frequently carried check-in baggage over 20kg (usually 25kg but sometimes reached 29kg) and never once been asked for extra charge.

    i’m also very dissatisfied with many of cx’s service but to be fair, i must say they’re lenient about check-in baggage limit :p
