在國慶檔期的前一周，也許各家發行公司都忙於推出電影關係，結果昨天一共有八部電影上映，可是各片的吸引力相對不足，結果整體票房也較上周下跌超過兩成，全日收入只有約152萬左右，看來不少觀眾已將焦點放於下周開畫的電影身上。
雖然共有八部電影開畫，但最終票房還是敵不過次周上映以蘭桂坊為題的《喜愛夜蒲》，電影昨天縮場三成後於35院映142場下仍收約23萬的成績，每場仍有約27人次，為電影累積達549萬，在淡市而言算是今年港片的一個意外驚喜。《喜》片成功吸引年輕客源，也許是其票房表現不俗的主因。
在新開畫電影當中，以太空驚慄為題的《阿波羅18號》表現較佳，首天於31院映153場下錄得約21萬的成績，不過若以計算每場人次而言，其實只達23的低水平，並不能說是理想。《阿》片在演員陣容不弱之下，只能以太空驚慄為題，然而其客源部分已被上周開畫的《兒凶》吸納，縱使其宣傳力度已算不少之下，成績仍不見理想。
泛亞發行的動作電影《魅影殺機》雖然在吸引力上也算一般，不過昨天於27院映138場下，亦獲19萬的成績，每場人次與《阿》片相若。《魅》片以一名女角為主的動作類型為題，在近期動作電影不多的情況下算是能吸引客源，故此也獲相對較佳的表現。
洲立發行的由日本同名漫畫改編的《天堂之吻》首天安排於19院映91場，結果錄得票房15萬左右，每場人次水平約在27左右，較前述兩部開畫電影為佳。雖然《天》片的演員在香港知名度相對不足，但在漫畫改編下能於開畫初段吸引其漫畫觀眾，故此開畫不會太差，且看周末爬升會否有其進展。
相比之下，同樣於19上映由安樂發行的《精裝群獸追女仔》雖然上映達90場，可是其票房卻只有六萬八千，每場人次更只達13左右，令人十分失望。《精》片以動物員管理員追女仔為題，可是其演員陣容不為人認識，而其海報計倒令人感到製作價值不高令人卻步，也令電影成績變得不理想。
迪士尼以六院作小型發行的《寫出友共鳴》首天上映31場，結果錄得票房五萬二千，在片長上調票價過後，結果每場人次也只有25左右，同樣令人失望。雖然電影以其原著小說改編及外國獲得好評作賣點，然而其電影片長較長，加上題材涉及一般香港觀眾毫無共鳴的種族問題，其吸引力也被大大減低。
華語電影方面，名威發行由禁毒為題的《毒禍2》首天安排於四家戲院各映一場四點場，結果錄得三萬五千的成績，每場人次更達至百五以上。《毒禍2》由林威、廖啟智及江美儀主演，觀乎題材難合一般觀眾口味，不過監製為給予中學生觀賞不惜包場提供，故此令其電影於各院入座高達八成以上。
至於其餘開畫的華語電影，則成了本周砲灰。當中洲立發行由吳尊、韓庚與徐熙媛主演的《大武生》首天於12院映51場，結果只能錄得二萬七千的成績，每場人次更不足九人。《大武生》的三名主角在香港市場上難以獨當一面，加上其戲劇題材在香港亦十分冷門，實在難有其吸引的理由。然而，開畫成績更為慘烈的還有由陳百祥、元華、元秋及田亮主演的《笑詠春》，電影首天雖獲九院映26場，可是票房不足四千八百，每場人次更只有三人左右，也許無論得悉電影上映與否，也找不到其觀看的理想。
其他電影方面，安樂發行的《作死不離3兄弟》於票房上繼續展現其耐力，電影於第四周首天於13院映54場下仍獲12萬，每場人次仍達35的不俗水平，為電影於22天累積至359萬，可望於四周映期衝破四百萬。一元發行的《兒凶》昨天映78場仍收八萬，累積則達241萬，也算是有所交代。愛情電影方面，娛樂與英皇發行的《情約1天》昨天映74場錄得十萬成績，累積則達625萬，同日開畫的《情迷午夜巴黎》昨天映33場則獲近五萬九千成績，累積也達307萬，同樣表現理想。

It seems audiences did not embrace《兒凶 INSIDIOUS》the way they did for 《ORPHAN》. Last weekend’s surprise surge was not any indication for a leggy run afterall. That’s too bad. Local distributors are releasing far too many movies with scary elements since 《FINAL DESTINATION 5》.
《作死不離3兄弟 THREE IDIOTS》continue to excel. What is not mentioned is that this is the highest grossing Thursday so far. Amazing.
《BRIDESMAIDS》continue its disappointing run and already fell out of the top 10 in only its second Thursday. I was really shocked, as this is supposedly a movie that Hong Kong adult females would enjoy. 《作死不離3兄弟》has definitely steal the spotlight as the IT comedy to go.
In fact, there are so many Hollywood duds to report. 《阿波羅18號》and 《魅影殺機 COLOMBIANA》register dull openings, and at this point both have no chance to top HK$2.5 million.
Kevin James is no Adam Sandler for the HK market, but it is still shocking to see《精裝群獸追女仔 ZOOKEEPER》opened to such poor results. 《寫出友共鳴 THE HELP》manages to open in the HK market ahead of some more appealing Hollywood movies like 《CRAZY STUPID LOVE》 or 《FRIENDS WITH BENEFITS》, and its goal is to reach 《PRECIOUS》.
Finally, 《喜愛夜蒲》is gunning to finish with HK$7 million, and even if we take out Newport theatres figure, it is still a commendable performance. Way to go Hong Kong cinema.

There are only two theatres under the Newport chain showing the movie, hence I say even if the effect is there, it would be minimal. That’s what I really mean. I was meant to compliment the performance in a good way. If you do not understand my grammar, it is your problem.

According to wmoov on the day I replied your post, President Theatre did not show the movie, but according to Newport Theatre’s website, all their theatres did show the movie. Even today at wmoov they still did not do that. So I regret that I quoted the wrong information. That does not mean you should use it as a basis to attack people, which typical mean-spirited HK people like to do.
Again, mYy original message was meant to say that should anybody think that the 4 Newport Theatres showing the movie may have contributed to the grosses (which Ryan did not mention, hinting that Newport did not boost figures), the figure won’t be material enough. The real meaning why I brought that up was because every now and then some people may comment that any box office figures supplied by Newport may not be genuine. Of course it is not always the case, and it will not be fair when some HK people achieve popularity on its own merits.
I think you are blowing my message way out of my orignial intentions when you call me 跌倒又拿番沙死要面,臉皮真係成寸厚. I am not going to come here every day and post overlong messages to prove my point. But here I will make an exception for mean-spirited people of HK like yourself.
