周末票房:《春嬌與志明》今挑戰千萬

周末票房十大位置變化不大,而票房爬升方面亦屬正常,比率約在八成左右。相對起過去數周而言,各片在票房爬升上相對較為平均。

寰亞發行彭浩翔執導的《春嬌與志明》在開畫過百萬成為榜首周,周末獲大幅增場三成七至60院映374場,結果票房爬升達八成半,周末兩天均錄得逾三萬人次,每場人次也達至84水平,四天連同優先場累積已達917萬,比起上集總票房還多出三成多。《春》片票房較上周大幅提供包括口碑及電影屬青少年也可觀賞的II B類別,而同期的愛情喜劇缺乏亦可吸納不同客源,觀乎復活檔期缺乏華語電影開畫及本集口碑不俗,相信暫可望以二千萬為目標。

同日開畫由華納發行的3D電影《狂.神.魔戰》雖然入座一般,但周末仍獲增場一成二至43院映262場,結果票房爬升僅達六成半,每場人次亦約在54左右,而四天累積達477萬的票房也未見理想。《狂》片在首個周末吸納觀眾能力一般,在未來一周有大量不同款式的外語片相繼開畫,看來票房前景並不樂觀。

高先發行作中型發行的《極地戰狼》在開畫表現平平下,周日略作縮場至17院映70場,結果票房爬升不足六成,但每場人次仍維持40左右,累積也達66萬。《極》片的實際賣點不多,加上看來予人距離外地開畫有著一段時間,吸引力有所減弱,不過要過百萬相信不成問題。洲立發行雲翔執導的《愛很爛》周日維持五院映22場下,票房反錄得輕微跌幅,為電影累積四天達16萬,票房較雲翔上部於六家戲院開畫的《安非他命》四天票房累積少近一成七。《愛很爛》的宣傳規模不大,加上目標市場其實也不算多,故此票房實際表現與前作其實相距不遠,看來最終票房要達50萬並不容易。

在新開畫外語片吸引力不大下,第二周上映的《飢餓遊戲》周末獲增場一成六至45院映215場,結果票房爬升接近一倍,而每場人次更與《狂》片不相伯仲,但入座率則多出兩成至65,為電影累積達1,131萬,可算是對娛樂與英皇發行有所交代。安樂發行的《鐵娘子─戴卓爾夫人傳》在九院映17場下,周日入座接近一千,為電影累積達至550萬。而得利發行第三周上映的《諜網迷蹤》在上映17天後累積達至99萬,今天可望衝破百萬大關。新力發行獲應屆金草莓最多提名的《龍鳳黐孖J》則累積達91萬,仍保持衝破百萬機會,而高先發行的《躁爸爸狂媽媽》周日縮持四院映九場下,票房爬升則達一倍六,為電影累積至35萬。

華語電影方面,第四周上映的《桃姐》於周日續獲增場兩成二至38院映124場,結果每場人次在53的高位,為電影累積達2,430萬,可望於未來數天達至二千五百萬水平。第二周開畫由安樂發行的港片《大追捕》周日維持約114場放映則錄得與《桃姐》相若的每場人次,爬升比例亦近大勢,累積18天也衝破千五萬至1,524萬,可算是在預期之上。寰宇發行由邱禮濤執導的《高舉.愛》周日維持23場放映下則錄得43的每場人次,累積也達95萬,可望於明天衝破百萬大關。反觀同日開畫由黎妙雪執導的《情迷》周日只剩一場放映,觀乎累積只有32萬,可算是打破舒淇與余文樂的個人票房新低。

  1. 《春嬌與志明》makes such a big splash this weekend, thanks to strong exhibitor’s support this weekend, that I am a little worried if exhibitors will continue support it during Easter weekend. Will 2 new Hollywood family movies trump its momentum? Regardless, I agree it is a lock for it to reach HK$20 million now.

    《桃姐》will try hard to top the HK$26 million mark, thanks to exhibitors are doing a good job handling its weekend expansion. If it can’t do it due to tough Easter competition, it will make another try after HK Film Awards. 《大追捕》will ultimately aim for a HK$16 million finish, which is extremely solid when you consider how CNY Chinese movies this year performed.

    《高舉.愛》is hanging on just fine. Crossing my forecasted HK$1.14 million mark remains reachable only if it can survive the Easter market crush.

    《愛很爛》probably is not surviving well because fans of the movie director may be waiting for its uncensored DVD release. It is not a good experience watching this film in the big screen at all, with heavy handed film censorship as well as the quality of theatre audiences. At this weekend pace and next week’s Easter crush, it may not even reach HK$400K.

    On to foreign movies, 《狂.神.魔戰》had another mediocre weekend surge. Unless Warner Brothers has very strong bargaining power, it is hard to imagine this one not receiving a high number of screen cuts next week. My HK$11.5 million forecast now seems shaky, whereas I was too conservative about the appeal of 《飢餓遊戲》. It seems it will have a fairly leggy run with this strong 2nd week performance, so my initial pessimistic view of the HK prospects for a female led sci-fi movie now seems unfounded. As this pace, an 18 times opening day multiplier meaning it will close with roughly HK$15 million, and it stands a fair chance to go higher. Good luck!

    《極地戰狼》will become Liam Neeson’s lowest grossing vehicles for the HK market in recent years. Not getting to HK$1.5 million will be a major disappointment, but then it was not backed by a strong HK distribution team. Competition is just too fierce right now as there are two flashier masculine appealing movies.

    I am now holding my breadth what will happen next week, as there will be quite a fierce battle. Wish exhibitors will minimal screen cuts for two of the major HK movies despite the opening of two major Hollywood family movies, as well as the continued strength of THE HUNGER GAMES and the upcoming TITANIC 3D rerelease.
