前天是情人節,相信不少情侶也會以電影作為餘興節目之一,而三部明天才開畫的電影也特地於情人節播放優先場,到底最終成績又會如何?
情人節全日票房可算十分理想,收入超過560萬,當中兩部外語電影《潛行深淵》與《枕邊冇情人》入座成績較佳,兩片映八十多場獲近萬人次,不過由於《潛》片為3D電影票價較高,票房也較佳。相比之下,劉德華與鞏俐主演的內地愛情片《我知女人心》只映夜場為主的38場,結果只達其餘兩部同映優先場電影的六成,成績並不理想。
至於上映中電影方面,賀歲喜劇《我愛HK開心萬歲》與奧斯卡提名片《127小時》入座情況跟《我知女人心》相若,不過《我愛HK》在場數較多下仍成為票房冠軍,反觀一直希望視電影適合情人節檔期的《最強囍事》走勢開始回軟,結果入場人次僅在60左右徘徊。
觀乎情況,其實電影只要吸引觀眾的話,是否與情人節主題相關也可於情人節獲好的票房。

Will《潛行深淵》be more frontloaded than other movies? Like others say, only the rabid James Cameron fan may give this movie a try, but that alone was not enough to sell tickets in North America, reviews also sub-par. It may repeat the performance of SKYLINE in Hong Kong, posting a huge decline on its 2nd weekend, if it opens big this weekend, say close to 800K. I may be wrong, but I will predict it will top out at HK$9 million.

什麼 “超級” 矛盾?票房成績與電影本身質素沒有必然關係!尤其是在觀眾素質普遍低劣的香港!Skyline 就是好例子!>:O
順帶一提,電影發行商簡直弄污 James Cameron 的聲譽,佢本身只係監製,但係D宣傳係咁標榜佢個名,好似想誤導一般無知市民以為佢係導演!:(

That’s true. But I did state already that business for NO STRINGS ATTACHED should be comparatively more frontloaded than for 我知女人心, although one must realize NO STRINGS ATTACHED total gross currently should be still higher than 我知女人心.
If that’s the case, it proves that chinese movies geared towards more mature audiences may play better in the long run. The two Andy Lau starrers this year (the other 新少林寺)is proving this, although 我知女人心 will have significantly lower grosses.
Just like LITTLE FOCKERS, NO STRINGS ATTACHED once again proves that early previews for American comedies may not do them any favours in the long run, as they have limited wide appeal to sustain beyond opening week. LITTLE FOCKERS is lucky to gross what it did, just like 神奇俠侶, without the aid of CNY, they are not very appealing.

Looks like we cannot rely too much on wmoov for estimated attendance. If based on their estimates, SANCTUM would have gross north of HK$1 million yesterday on Thursday opening day, while 《我知女人心》would gross lower than 《枕邊冇情人》.
