周末票房在格局上受到三部電影播放優先場的影響，除了開畫場次較次的《127小時》獲得增場外，其實各片都出現縮場現象，而整體票房收入則較周四上升約一成半。
華語電影方面，邵氏與無線合作的《我愛HK開心萬歲》仍然於票房上稱冠，周日在場次略減七場餘221場下仍錄得近91的每場人次，為電影於11天累積達2,233萬，相信二千五百萬該可於本周內衝破。至於票房次席仍是爭持激烈，當中秦小珍與陳慶嘉執導的《最強囍事》於縮場近一成後周日仍獲萬三人次，累積12天則達1,738萬，而較《最》片早兩周放映優先場的《新少林寺》則累積至1,929萬，周日較《最》片少收約40萬，兩片繼後票房跌幅將決定誰是賀歲檔期電影亞軍。至於開畫以來表現不佳的《神奇俠侶》周日被大幅削場四分之一，在上映119場後只獲四千人次，累積則達747萬，要過千萬看來極為困難。
新片方面，霍士伋行的《127小時》在增場後於28院映134場，結果周日獲得近95的每場人次，票房爬升亦高達七成四，為電影於四天累積近280萬，以題材不算主流電影來說成績算有交代。片短的《我們這一家：超能力花師奶》周日在縮場一成後家庭客源未算熱烈，票房爬升五成半後僅獲二千多人次，不過累積可望於今天衝破百萬大關。
賀歲外語片方面，《魔髮奇緣》在周日家庭客源帶動下，於38院映145場獲逾萬人次，為電影於11天累積達1,252萬，也跟同期開畫的《青蜂俠》票房距離收窄至40萬左右，相信可望超越《青》片，至於《青蜂俠》周日被縮場一成後獲約五千五百人次，成績也在預期之中，而《非常外父3》周日同樣被大幅縮場四分之一，結果在上映91場仍維持約48的每場人次，可望今天累積衝破九百萬大關。
周日的三部電影均上映優先場，當中重點集中於兩部愛情片的情況，洲立與聯合發行的《枕邊冇情人》在27院雖映39場，不過票房已等同《神奇俠侶》全日的水平，而每場人次更是過百，可見觀眾對荷里活愛情喜劇的期待。相比之下，劉德華與鞏俐主演的愛情片《我知女人心》於18院映26場，可是每場人次僅及《枕》片的一半，可見觀眾對於內地愛情片相對存有戒心。

NO STRINGS ATTACHED is fun Hollywood movie, and Natalie Portman is the IT girl now. It is as much fun as LOVE AND OTHER DRUGS. As competiton not too fierce, it may gross HK$8 million, hopefully more.
Good news for 我愛HK開心萬歲 and 最強囍事, even if this is no record breaking CNY, it is good results. 3 Chinese language movies hitting HK$20 million or above, while no Hollywood movie in CNY can come close to HK$18 million.

《枕邊冇情人》情人節附近入座率高實屬意料中事,水準相若同樣粗鄙胡鬧低俗及典型公式化的《單身大急救》(The Ugly Truth)就收了七百多萬,比較認真動人的《愛情戀上癮》（Love and Other Drugs）更收九百多萬,但相信《枕邊冇情人》總票房將不及 Natalie Portman 下周另一風頭之作 ‘Black Swan’.

Unfortunately, SANCTRUM does not really have wide appeal. It did not even have any recognizable movie stars, and the best expectations for the movie’s HK performance would be matching those of SKYLINE, which has a sturdy first weekend, then crash and burn on its second weekend.

Danny Boyle 一向視覺風格強烈,今趟影像凌厲一如既往,目不暇給節奏明快,其實幕後班底不少也來自上次大獲全勝的《一百萬零一夜》（Slumdog Millionaire).
整體尚可但略嫌觸動人心方面尚可更進一步, James Franco 印證了2010年荷李活新一代演員上位中.

So many off topics messages, but NO STRINGS ATTACHED《枕邊冇情人》, being a decently made raunchy rom-com, should gross over HK$7 million. In the past, most rom-com, raunchy or sexy or funny, gross around HK$6-9 million no matter how good or bad they are. The most successful Hollywood or local rom-com in recent years mostly just top out at HK$12 million. Any rom-com grossing under HK$5 million should be considered a disappointment.

Good for 我知女人心 if it manages to beat 枕邊冇情人 in final total gross. I may also give 我知女人心 a try, which has a good chance for a longer period of play, but just not on opening week, as I am prioritzing BLUE VALENTINE.

Sorry, 枕邊冇情人 may play better in certain cinemas. That’s what I notice on last Saturday’s previews.
However, 我知女人心 may have wider appeal for mature audiences due to the presence of Andy Lau and Gong Li.
Mainland cinema is on a hot streak these days, so I will not be surprised if 我知女人心 can beat 枕邊冇情人 in the long run. Predicting 枕邊冇情人 to gross over HK$7 million is not that bold anyway, as it will fall below most other Hollywood rom-com. Even 500 DAYS OF SUMMER can gross HK$5 million.
